dated 1904, 25 1/4in. nitro reproved barrel (in 2024), small cone elevating rear-sight graduated to 2000 yards and with micrometer windage adjustment and bone inserts, chequered tops to the side protectors, block and blade fore-sight, nose-cap with inwardly curving side protectors, blued receiver, magazine cut-off, bolt with sliding charger guide, oval cocking-piece, side safety, detachable box magazine with retaining link, butt-stock collar marked 'NZ 1245 / 05' and 'E.R. under crown ENFIELD. 1904. SHT. L.E.I.', full-length stock with front and rear long-range volley sights, butt stock marked to the right with the Enfield roundel (faint) and 'I**', brass identity disc marked 'WQ GAME INNS', 13 1/2in. pull including steel buttplate, weight 8lb. 9oz.
