circa 1890 with best Belgian Laminated 30in. well rebrowned barrels (later black powder reproof), raised machine engraved top-rib, bead fore-sight, plain borderline engraved toplever action, borderline engraved locks signed 'L.C. SMITH' on the bars, top-tang safe with windowed status indicator, chequered semi-pistolgrip walnut butt-stock (some hairline cracks at wrist), moulded gutta percha heel-plate and snap-on chequered walnut splinter fore-end
