for 1968, 25in. nitro barrels with file-cut Churchill rib gold-inlaid 'XXV' at the breech end, the tubes engraved 'CHURCHILL (GUNMAKERS) LTD. 7. BURY STREET. ST. JAMES'S. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, scroll-back action with slender carved fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets and the makers name to scrolling banners to the sides, the underside with the model designation, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 7/8in. stock, weight 6lb. 5oz., in a brass-cornered oak and leather guncase (retaining original E.M. Reilly label for 16-bore gun no. 34716) with later Churchill label and fitted for 25in. barrels (would adapt to 30in.)
