A GERMAN HOLBEIN-STYLE DRESS DAGGER FOR THE S.A. ORGANISATION SIGNED RUDOLF SCHMIDT, SOLINGEN,
circa 1937, with double edged 8 3/4in. blade etched with the motto ' ALLES FUR DEUTSCHLAND' (everything for Germany), makers mark to the reverse, brown wooden grip inlaid with an eagle and swastika and the 'SA' roundel to top of hilt, solid nickel fittings with 'Ns' acceptance stamp (Nordsee), complete with its original brown anodised metal scabbard with nickel chape and throat (blade caustically cleaned with shallow pitting, scabbard with speckled corrosion) and fitted with a nickel suspension ring
