A 16-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN SIGNED DAYKIN, no visible serial number,
circa 1780, with rebrowned two-stage octagonal to round 34in. barrel, bead fore-sight, shallow moulded sighting notch to the hump-backed top-tang, the breech end of barrel with London proofs and 'F.D.' maker's mark, plain flat bevel-edged lock signed 'DAYKIN' below the pane, stepped tail, swan-necked cock, handrail walnut full-stock, iron furniture including bevelled side-plate, acorn finial and replacement iron ramrod
