A .50 (BOXER) BREAK-OPEN PRYSE-ACTION REVOLVER MARKED FRANCOTTE, LONDON, serial no. 3285,
circa 1885, with in the white semi-octagonal profile 5in. barrel, later scroll engraving to barrel sides at breech and marked 'ACIER FUNDU' (sic) to left, the top-strap also with later engraving to the bevelled sides and signed 'A. FRANCOTTE, LONDON' (spurious), borderline and scroll engraved break-open frame with single Pryse locking catch, engraved and fluted five-shot cylinder, exposed hammer with locking notch, guarded double-action trigger (slightly at fault) and chequered walnut grips, refinished and re-engraved throughout
