circa 1885, with re-blued ovoid London proved 5 1/2in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the solid top-strap, solid frame with plain cylinder, the left side of barrel-throat marked 'THE CARTRIDGE BRAND' above a depiction of a single round, the lower frame marked '500' and 'No.1' on the same side, double-action mechanism with Webley-style hammer spur, chequered walnut grip, domed butt-cap with central lanyard ring and centre-mounted swing-out ejector housed in the cylinder arbor, well refinished throughout
