A CASED .320 (SHORT REV) COLT NEW POLICE POCKET REVOLVER, serial no. 40023,
for 1907, with round nickel-plated 2 1/2in. barrel, the top signed in three lines, crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, swing-out fluted cylinder, solid frame with model details to the sideplate, double action mechanism with blued trigger and polished sides to the hammer, chequered hard rubber grips (left repaired at toe), much plated finish remaining throughout and in a period walnut casing lined and compartmented in blue baize and including an oil-bottle and turnscrew
