NEW-HAVEN CT, KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29 1866, OCTOBER 16 1860', plain slab-sided receiver with saddle-ring, top-tang marked 'MODEL 1873', walnut butt-stock with iron heel-plate fitted with a central brass sliding trap-door, plain walnut fore-end with barrel-band, full length under barrel magazine and separate nose band, the whole re-finished and re-coloured to a high standard
