circa 1780, with round two-stage swamped barrel, solid top-tang and moulded band at breech, borderline engraved lock with bridle-less frizzen signed 'T. FIELD' below the pan, walnut full-stock carved around the brass furniture, moulded and carved long-eared butt-cap, rococo escutcheon to wrist, pierced sideplate in the form of a feathered serpent, turned ramrod pipe (cracked, losses) and original worm-ended ramrod
