circa 1835, with round turn-off 1 3/4in. barrels, broad engraved bands at the muzzles, Birmingham proofs, acanthus engraved round bodies with central hammer boxlock actions signed on the breech blocks 'R. JONES', sliding safes to the top-tangs, finely chequered walnut bag-shaped butts, silver engraved short-tailed butt-caps and concealed folding triggers, complete with a period mahogany case with hook closure, probably original to these pistols and compartmented and lined in green coarse baize with lidded compartments and including a nipple-key, small fluted bodied flask, horn handled turnscrew and scissors bullet mould, also possibly associated
