A 20-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS, registration no. DC-4639,
circa 1780, with heavy octagonal to round cannon-muzzled 14 1/2in. barrel banded at all intersections, the top-flat at breech with Dublin registration number (repeated on heel-plate), deeply struck makers stamp 'R.T.' (Robert Tomlinson) and private or possibly pre 1813 Birmingham proofs at breech, plain iron tang with sighting groove, heavily cleaned lock with pointed tail, traces of signature below pan (hammer screw, top-jaw and screw replaced), walnut three-quarter banana shaped handrail stock (cracked at wrist), brass furniture including plain side-plate and replacement wood ramrod
