A VERY UNUSUAL 16-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR PIGEON GUN, serial no. 20342, with extra barrels,
30in. chromed nitro chopperlump barrels with tapered matted rib, the tubes engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS, AUDLEY HOUSE, SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL', (worn), the under rib engraved 'FULL CHOKE', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 choke in both;
30in. nitro reproved chopperlump barrels with tapered matted rib, the tubes engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS, AUDLEY HOUSE, SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL', (worn), 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, small hole to under rib, internally pitted;
slim treble-grip non self-opening action with hidden third bite and side-clips, removable striker discs, no safety catch, lockplates and lockwork of Joseph Brazier Ashes Holland & Holland type, articulated front trigger, the action, lockplates and furniture unengraved and with plain (renewed) blued finish, the lockplates signed 'J. PURDEY & SONS', the underside with 'J. PURDEY & SONS LONDON' in an oval configuration, 14 5/8in. figured replacement stock, the fore-end finely inset with a gold crest, weight 6lb. 10oz. ('Full Choke') and 6lb. 8oz. (second set)
