A SCARCE .177 BREAK-BARREL AIR-PISTOL, MODEL 'THE LINCOLN', serial no. 898,
circa 1925, with blued two-stage 8 7/8in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight blade, standing notch rear-sight, the top of breech marked 'THE "LINCOLN" AIR PISTOL', the right hand side 'BEST ENGLISH MAKE', side-catch barrel release, patent number stamped to thumb-spur, blued tubular air-chamber with knurled end-cap, moulded cocking link forming the trigger-guard and thumb-wheel take-down screw allowing folding of the barrel for storage in the pocket, the whole retaining virtually all its original blued finish with some patchy surface corrosion
