* 10.4mm SWISS MODEL 1871 BOLT ACTION SERVICE RIFLE, serial no. 40530, circa 1872,
with 33in. barrel fitted with block and blade front-sight and quadrant rear-sight, the action stamped "SOC. IND, SUISSE / SYSTEM VETTERLIN", two piece iron mounted full walnut stock the forend with square cut chequering and three barrel bands, rod missing. The barrel and action with some original blue finish balance to a plum brown patina, action at fault.
