A FINELY CARVED AND GAME SCENE ENGRAVED 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. B119,
Belgian made and dated for 1966, 27 1/2in. Siemens Martin Martele-steel nitro barrels by Jean Falla, with raised tapered file-cut rib with intermediate bead sight, the tubes engraved 'ALFRED BITTORF DUSSELDORF', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, unsigned treble-grip action with hidden third bite, removable striker discs, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'S' detail, cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, the fences carved in high relief with oak leaf and acorn motifs on a linear background, the action and furniture finely carved with bold scrolling acanthus on a finely stippled background, the lockplates engraved with forest scenes of a pointer and partridge to the left and and a pointer and pheasant to the right, 15 1/4in. highly-figured stock, the fore-end (missing one retaining screw) decoratively carved en suite, weight 6lb. 13oz., in a universal alloy case
