EDINBURGH.', 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. imp. cyl., action incorporating Gibbs & Pitt patent lever-cocking hammerless action, patent no. 284 of 1873, use number A147, automatic safety with blued and gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, dipped-edge lockplate, border and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding the makers name engraved within a scrolling banner, 14 1/4in. figured stock including buttplate, weight 5lb. 3oz.
