A .577-450 MARTINI HENRY MK II SERVICE RIFLE BY ENFIELD, no visible serial number, action dated 1878, with 33in. barrel stamped with 'W.D.' and Enfield proof and inspection stamps, fitted with block and blade front-sight and ladder rear-sight, stamped on the left-side of the barrel beneath the sight is 'N. S. / NEP', [for Native Service / Nepal], the action body stamped with the Crown V.R, cypher over 'ENFIELD / 1878', together with the small crowned arrow inspection mark and the Mk II designation, iron-mounted two piece walnut stock, two barrel bands the top band with bayonet lug, the butt stamped with the Enfield Mk II roundel and 'R.P. / 1902' for Rawalpindi Arsenal, the stock is a modern replacement with spurious marks
