for 1856, with octagonal 5in. barrel retaining the majority of its original London blue and signed on the top-flat 'ADDRESS COL. COLT, LONDON' on two lines within brackets, London proofs, refinished roll-engraved five-shot cylinder, open iron frame marked 'COLT'S PATENT', retaining much colour, iron trigger guard and grip-straps (finish dulled and frosted), walnut one-piece grip and hinged under-barrel rammer, all matching numbers except un-numbered cylinder and complete with its American market walnut storage case, lined and compartmented in red velvet (faded) and including an iron double cavity Colt Patent mould, a James Dixon powder flask (mainspring broken), pewter oil bottle, period Eley cap-tin, 'L' shaped nipple-key and original steel-handled cleaning rod
