A .577 SNIDER / ENFIELD BREECH-LOADING THREE BAND MK II* SERVICE RIFLE, no visible serial number,
circa 1863, with 36 1/2in. barrel with full Enfield military proof and inspection stamps at breech (faint), barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight, the lock stamped with the Crown V.R. cypher on the tail and '1863 ENFIELD' to the centre, brass mounted figured full walnut stock the right side of the butt stamped with the Enfield 1st Class roundel (faint), complete with sling swivels and replacement rod.
