A .577/450 ZAR CONTRACT WESTLEY RICHARDS IMPROVED MARTINI HENRY RIFLE, no visible serial number, dated 1898, with 32 in. sighted barrel marked 'HENRY RIFLING / WESTLEY RICHARDS', with the date 1898 within a triangle on the receiver bridge, receiver marked to left with triangle and 'WESTLEY RICHARDS', with 'MADE SPECIALLY FOR / Z A R' opposite, wooden stock with tiger-striped butt, worn and stained, pitting to the front of the trigger-guard, fore-end split in front of the trigger-guard, fore-sight replaced, bayonet catch filed from barrel band, action at fault and probably missing parts, 49 in. overall length
