circa 1870 and a variation of the Belgian Begueldre patent, with in the white round 3 1/2in. barrel sliding forwards on a hinged under-lever, drawing the blued six-shot cylinder forwards also for ejection purposes, the cartridge pins retained by a blued steel ring, open colour hardened frame marked with a small crown over 'BAF', side loading aperture with spring cartridge retainer in lieu of a loading gate, chequered walnut semi saw-handled grips and double action mechanism with folding trigger, much apparent original finish
