COGSWELL & HARRISON .410 (SMOOTHBORED) CONVERTED SINGLE-BARRELLED SIDELEVER HAMMER ROOK & RABBIT RIFLE, serial no. 146, circa 1896, 26in. turned octagonal to round nitro barrel, bead fore-sight, rear sight removed and dove-tail inserted, the top flat engraved 'COGSWELL & HARRISON. 142. NEW BOND ST. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. imp. cyl. choke, sidelever opening, non-rebounding central hammer, border engraving, retaining very slight traces of original blued finish, 14in. figured stock including steel buttplate, splinter fore-end with side bolsters, cross-pin release catch and horn finial, weight 5lb. 4oz.
