circa 1890, with tapering octagonal 27in. barrel, machine matted top-flat with central panel signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO., LONDON', dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, the left side top-flat marked 'METFORD RIFLING' and 'FOR .250 CARTRIDGE', triangle trademark at breech, plain squared colour hardened side-lever ejecting action signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO., LONDON' on the left hand side (much colour remaining), central hammer, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock, chequered walnut splinter snap-on fore-end, much original finish throughout
