A FRENCH SMALL SWORD, circa late 18th Century, with 31 in. triangular steel blade etched on three sides, forte marked 'a PARIS', pierced double-shell guard and pommel, grip with white metal wire binding, heavily worn, trace only of blade etching, blade cleaned with pitting and staining, with creases in the shallow edges, knuckle-guard absent, pommel loose, 37 1/2 in. overall
