measuring externally 38in. x 11 1/2in. x 6in., circular vacant brass lid escutcheon and corners, circular lock escutcheon and external flush-fitting hooks, the lower tray with renewed lining, no compartments or inner tray, the lid with original lining and black 'John Dickson, 63 Princes Street' trade label with gold lettering, heavy duty brass folding handle to one end
Provenance: Externally this case is identical to the one illustrated on page 83 of Donald Dallas' publication 'Charles Gordon, Magnificent Madness'. The case illustrated there is for a pair of Harkoms
