circa 1865, with slightly tapering round blued 4 1/4in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, the solid flat top-strap signed 'PARKER FIELD & SONS, 233 HOLBORN LONDON', shallow notch rear-sight to top of recoil shield, solid frame with rearward hinged loading-gate with external flat-spring, plain six-shot cylinder with friction brake inside frame at front, complex articulated link ejector-rod mounted to the right side of barrel, chequered walnut grips and guarded trigger, retaining much probable original London blued finish and polish
