A SCARCE CASED .44 (RIMFIRE) P. WEBLEY & SON No.2 BRITISH BULL DOG REVOLVER, serial no. 23156,
circa 1885, with blued ovoid reverse tapered 2 1/2in. barrel signed 'P. WEBLEY & SON', applied nickel crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap marked either side 'THE BRITISH' and 'BULL DOG', solid frame with Webley markings, polished hammer and trigger, chequered walnut birdshead grips, the whole retaining a strong amount of original finish and complete with its oak storage case lined and compartmented in blue baize, with a fitted bullet tray, a cleaning rod, oil bottle and turn-screw
