circa 1850, with laminated 24in. barrels (of apparent original length, rib lifting), the top-rib signed 'PARKER FIELD & SONS 233 HOLBORN LONDON', bead fore-sight, scroll engraving to rib-end, platinum plugs, borderline and scroll engraved long top-tang, borderline engraved back-action locks signed in banners with scrolled terminals 'PARKER FIELD & SONS', dolphin headed hammers, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture and brass mounted ebony ramrod, strong traces of period finish remaining and together with a walnut case adapted for this shotgun lined and compartmented in green baize and with a number of accessories including a powder and a shot flask, cap tins, oil bottle and a turnscrew
