A CASED .442 (RIMFIRE) WEBLEY TYPE SOLID FRAME REVOLVER RETAILED BY BEATTIE & SON, serial no. 3676,
circa 1878, with round 6in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, borderline and scroll engraved moulded frame with solid top-strap signed 'BEATTIE & SON, 205 REGENT ST. LONDON', standing notch rear-sight, six-shot plain cylinder with front locking notches, double-action mechanism, chequered walnut grip with separate back-strap and Bentley patent screw-type cartridge extractor mounted to the right side, the whole a period London re-blue and in a period mahogany casing lined and compartmented in green baize and complete with a period cleaning rod, turn-screw and glass oil bottle (cartridge tray cracked)
