for 1891, with blued round 26in. barrel (muzzle re-crowned), the top signed 'MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN CONN. U.S.A', nickel bladed fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, blued slab-sided receiver, blued bolt, colour hardened hammer, top-tang marked 'MODEL 1886', walnut straight-hand butt-stock with iron crescent heel-plate, colour hardened iron finger-lever, walnut fore-end and colour hardened nose-cap (faded), fitted with a full-length tubular under-barrel magazine
