A 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 3118,
circa 1910, 28 1/4in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1983), the rib engraved 'JAMES MACNAUGHTON & SONS. 36 HANOVER STREET. EDINBURGH.', the breech end engraved '2' and with acanthus scroll detailing, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, scroll-backed treble-grip action, toplever engraved '2', automatic safety with engraved 'SAFE' detail, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding the makers name in a banner, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/2in. figured replacement stock, sculpted fore-end finial engraved '2', weight 6lb. 10oz.
