AN INTERESTING .450 (BOXER) REVOLVER OF PINFIRE FORM SIGNED E.C. GREEN, serial no. 297,
circa 1870, with blued octagonal 6in. barrel signed on the top-flat 'E.C. GREEN, HIGH ST. CHELTENHAM' and fitted with dove-tailed front and rear-sights, stepped blued six-shot cylinder with rear locking notches, open iron frame with plunge ejector and side safety spring, top hinged loading gate, the frame also marked 'No. 450' on the left side, double action mechanism and chequered walnut bag-shaped grips, lanyard ring at heel, the thumb web with threaded aperture, probably for a later removed lanyard swivel, much period finish throughout
