A CASED PAIR OF .41 (RIMFIRE) COLT No.3 THUER'S PATENT DERRINGER VEST PISTOLS, serial no. 6023 and 40213,
circa 1884 and of identical formats, with blued 2in. barrels signed 'COLT' in large letters to the top, nickel crescent fore-sights, London proofs, nickel-plated open frames, later style hammer spur and walnut birdshead grips, spur triggers, in a blue baize lined walnut case the lid lining gold blocked with 'WATSON & SON GUNMAKERS, 308 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON W.' and including a wire cleaning rod


Provenance: The case would appear to be that of William Watson, who traded at 308 High Holborn between the years 1882-1885
