Capt. John Pollock has enjoyed over fifty years stalking both in this country and abroad, including three safaris to Africa, and the image shows him with a good sized Kudu and the Sako rifle he used to secure it. He served with the army, first with the Royal Army Service Corps and then the Parachute Brigade as well as being a 'sometime' author for several publications including African Hunter Magazine.
Literature: This lot is accompanied by copies of the magazine article detailing the vendor's first buffalo secured on his second safari to Africa, and shot with this rifle.
