possibly Tula Arsenal produced and dated '1874', with re-finished 6 1/2in. barrel, raised sighting rib signed in cyrillic together with an Imperial Russian two headed eagle, an 'L' stamp and an inspectors mark of 'II' within a circle (foresight re-modelled), short ejector-housing, break-open frame with auto-ejecting fluted cylinder and date stamp to rear, smooth walnut grips, lanyard ring to pommel, colour-case hardened hammer, trigger and trigger-guard (possibly renewed) and finger-spur to the trigger-guard bow
