A RARE .38 (SUPER) SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, MODEL 'SUPER 38 WARTIME COMMERCIAL', serial no. 34918,
for circa 1942-44, with 5in. barrel, blued slide with crescent fore-sight and dove-tailed notch rear-sight, the left hand side of slide stamped with makers address and patent dates to 1913, the right hand side marked 'COLT' together with the calibre and trademark, blued frame, chequered walnut grips, missing magazine, the whole retaining virtually all its original finish with light storage marks
