A .500 / .450 FLANGED NITRO EXPRESS SIDELOCK NON-EJECTOR DOUBLE RIFLE, serial no. 19066, with extra 9.3x74R barrels and 20-bore shot barrels,
24 1/2in. original .500/.450 NE chopperlump barrels (shortened), unsigned rib and tubes, matt sight rib with two folding leaf sights and ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the breech end mounted with a K. Kahles Helia Super telescopic sight in quickly-detachable mounts;
new Belgian 9.3x74R nitro barrels, serial no. 19066-1with stepped raised matt rib, open sights and ramped bead fore-sight, the breech end mounted with a B. Nickel Supra 1-4 x E/D/S telescopic sight in quickly-detachable mounts;
27 1/2in. Belgian 20-bore shot barrels with raised matt rib, serial no. 19066-2, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, left tube with dent;
treble-grip action with hidden third bite, removable striker discs, elongated top-strap, rounded bar, automatic safety, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, gold-washed triggers, the front articulated, fences carved in relief with acanthus scrollwork, border and occasional scroll engraving, the underside relief-engraved and gold-inlaid with a boars head, much of the engraving a later addition, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 5/8in. replacement roachbelly stock with sling swivels and including 1in. ventilated rubber recoil pad, fore-end (wood replaced) with grip-catch release lever, weight 11lb. 4oz. (.500/.450 barrels), 9lb. 15oz. (9.3x74R barrels) and 7lb. 6oz. (20-bore barrels), in a leather case with associated second case for spare barrels

Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this rifle was completed as a .500/.450 with 26in. barrels in June 1906 for G. Guinard.
