26in. nitro reproved barrels, rib engraved 'W.W. GREENER. MAKER. 68. HAYMARKET LONDON. WORKS ST. MARY'S SQUARE. BIRMINGHAM. ENGLAND.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx.1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, manual side safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 13 3/4in. semi-pistolgrip stock including 1 1/4in. rubber recoil pad, weight 4lb. 10oz.

The above shotgun was started on the 5th September 1906 and finished on the 20th December of the same year. It is a 28-bore double barrel non-ejector shotgun with 26 inch Siemens steel barrels. It has a Facile Princeps action and it was engraved by Stokes. It was originally shipped to our New York establishment for a customer there. The F16 model cost 16 guineas when sold originally and is an inexpensive model.

28-bore shotguns by W.W. Greener are rare, and this example was used as a model for new shotguns made by the company in this calibre from 1985 onwards.
