serial number on barrel loop only, 30in. nitro reproved barrels, rib engraved 'H. HODGSON. IPSWICH & BURY ST. EDMUNDS', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, bold acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 7/8in. well-figured stock including 7/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 9oz.
