Lemal, raised finely matted rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and full choke, scroll-back treble-grip action with carved arcaded oak leaf fences and side-clips, pierced acanthus toplever engraved with a retriever with partridge, manual safety with viewing port, fine acanthus border engraving surrounding scenes of hound attacking boar on the left, fox and hounds on the right, the underside with hounds and hare and inscribed 'J. PIQUET - LEON ARMURIER A ST. TROND', the triggerguard with hound and stag, bright finish overall, 14 1/2in. well-figured pistolgrip stock , sling eyes removed, including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, highly-figured replacement fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 10oz.
