A GOOD .44-40 (WIN) SIX-SHOT NICKEL-PLATED REVOLVER, MODEL 'POCKET ARMY', serial no. 199,
early model circa 1880, with 3 1/4in. barrel, the left hand side marked 'HOPKINS & ALLEN M'F'G CO. NORWICH CONN. U.S.A.' together with patent dates to March 1877, crescent fore-sight, side mounted take-down catch, early open frame with barrel release button to the underside, the left side of frame marked 'CALIBER WINCHESTER 1873', blind fluted cylinder, colour hardened hammer and trigger-guard, hard rubber chequered birdshead grips and skull-cracker pommel (numbered 410), the whole retaining much original nickel plated finish
