AN INTERESTING 40-BORE PERCUSSION FIVE-SHOT REVOLVER SIGNED 'W ADAMS LONDON', no visible serial number,
circa 1860 and almost certainly a patent infringement of a Robert Adams revolver and made to deceive, with semi-octagonal 6in. barrel, border engraved muzzle, the top-strap signed 'W. ADAMS LONDON' in script, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, border engraved cylinder, border engraved solid frame, spurred hammer, chequered walnut grips with iron butt-cap, guarded double-action trigger and Birmingham proofs
