circa 1860, with browned twist-iron, round, 30 1/2in. barrel, three short ribs at breech, the top signed 'AUCHINLECK' and terminating in an engraved needle topped with a flourish of scrolls, bead fore-sight, scroll engraved breech-block inlet with a gold line (traces of colour), carved percussion fence, borderline and scroll engraved long ball-ended top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved back-action lock signed within a banner 'ROB T. WYLLIE', walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron heel-plate with long engraved top-spur, engraved bottom tang with game-birds to the trigger-guard bow, white-metal fore-end tip and iron ramrod thimbles and bottom rib, complete with its original brass mounted heavy duty under-barrel ramrod with worm-screw tip
