circa 1855, with brushed bright twist-iron 30in. two-groove rifled barrel, applied boat-shaped fore-sight, rear-sight with one standing and one folding leaf, scarce variant bayonet bar with central locking notch mounted on the right side of muzzle, borderline engraved bar-action brushed bright lock marked with an East India Company rampant lion trademark, walnut full-stock with brass furniture including large patchbox in butt, the heel-plate spur stamped '185', iron stirrup swivels and iron under-barrel ramrod (woodwork with wear, light staining to iron surfaces)
