SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL.)' and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends amid fine acanthus scrollwork, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, carved fences, removable striker discs, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, file cut triggers, the actions, furniture and lockplates profusely engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork, the makers name engraved in cartouches, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. highly-figured stocks (slight setting cracks to rear of lockplates No.1 gun) including 3/4in. ebonite extensions, fore-ends inset with Gibbs gold diamond-shaped escutcheons, weight 6lb. 13oz., in their brass-cornered oak and leather case with some accessories
