A 12-BORE FLINTLOCK IRON-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, SIGNED RICHARDSON, no visible serial number,
circa 1795, with Birmingham proved two staged 15 1/2in. barrel (shallow external pitting), engraved band at breech and carved band at the intersection, the top of barrel mounted with a triangular cross-section sprung bayonet released via an independent catch mounted on the top-tang, flat slightly curved step-tailed bevel edged lock signed 'RICHARDSON', engraved cock, roller to the frizzen-spring, walnut full-stock chequered at the wrist (small loss to top edge of fore-end at muzzle), iron furniture (frosted) and original iron mounted under-barrel ramrod
