dated for 1856, with 26 1/2in. 'in the white' iron barrel (originally blued, now with some staining), Government stamps at breech, borderline engraved lock signed and dated forwards of the hammer and with a 'V.R.' crown device at tail, walnut full-stock with Pimlico refurbishment roundel stamped in the right hand side of butt, brass furniture, the heel-plate spur marked 'X M33 43 BC', iron swivels, Lovells bayonet catch and cup-headed iron ramrod, traces of original finish remaining
