A RARE .41 RIMFIRE VEST-PISTOL, MODEL 'NEVER-MISS', serial no. 3879,
for between 1870-1881, with 2 1/2in, blued barrel (some frosting), the top inscribed 'NEVER MISS', the right side at breech marked 'J.M. MARLIN NEW HAVEN CT PAT APRIL 5 1870', brass open frame bolstered below and behind the barrel, spur trigger, exposed hammer and semi slab-sided walnut birdshead grips
Provenance: Despite an eleven year manufacturing span, less than 1000 of these derringer pistols were produced in .41 rimfire
