A GOOD 4MM (ZIMMER) RIMFIRE TARGET RIFLE SIGNED C. STIRGELE INN MUNCHEN, no visible serial number, circa 1920, German made with 29in. heavy octagonal barrel, the front 7 3/4in. housing the Zimmer mechanism, the mechanism loaded via an external lever mounted back from the muzzle that opens the breech, dovetailed vee form front-sight, micro adjustable pan-headed peep-sight mounted to action tang, double set triggers, two piece figured walnut stock, with chequered forend, elaborately shaped butt with cheek rest and Swiss style schutzen butt-plate, decorative chequered panel to right side of butt, the rifle with much original finish.
